Violet, a mother of three, lived in a small five-room duplex with an outdated kitchen. Initially hesitant to seek help, she tried designing on her own but eventually sought professional assistance to create a home she’d be proud to host in.

The compact living room and kitchen, along with a narrow entryway, lacked storage and functionality. To solve this, the kitchen was moved further from the entrance to expand the foyer. An unused bathroom niche became a coat closet near the door. The wall between the living room and kitchen was removed, exposing an iron framework, which was painted in lead tones for an industrial look, and a dining bar was added behind the sofa. New windows brought a fresh, bright feel to the space.

The redesign transformed the duplex into a vibrant, welcoming home. Violet shared: “I feel like I’m on vacation every day. I even tidy up constantly because I don’t want to leave a mess for the housekeeper!”
